  • NO INTERNET SERVICE

    sorry-no-internet-today-2

That's the long and short of it.   I'm in the process of moving and won't have much access, for I don't know how long.   Right now I'm writing from wired coffee shops and bookstores.

I'm thinking about not getting internet at the place I'm moving...I kind of like it.  I've preached getting rid of internet service to those who struggle with porn, maybe I should practice what I preach....  Course I don't struggle with internet porn...can't stand porn.   Still I'm feeling ambivalent toward internet service right now.

I'm feeling ambivalent toward lots of things.   Grass pollen is one of the things I'm most allergic to, and right now its levels are very high.   The world could come to an end and I wouldn't care.

Anyway, I've had my coffee, and it's time to go.   I'll write again when the caffeine monkey beats me about the head and shoulders.

    Ciao,

    Lonnie

    Lonnie,

Great to hear from you. I wondered what was up w/ you.

We will have internet service b/c my husband couldn't work w/out it! While we were away in England, I didn't take my laptop on purpose and did no blogging. I did have an iPod touch along, but didn't have much internet access, which was good (more time to read/pray/walk/drink lots of tea). Since I'm back I am more aware of how much time I spend online...I do think I need to be more disciplined. As I was getting ready to return home, I was itching to blog again...I guess if I changed the way I blog (and actually wrote out the posts in advance!), then I wouldn't need as much online time like I do, but I also enjoy my time connecting w/ people here (like you!).

    Peace in Christ,
    Karen

I sympathize with your allergy issues.
Mine have been so bad this year, that I think my sinuses were damaged. I'll probably need to have a CT scan next week to find out what the issue is.

I think summer tends to make us ambivalent toward things; the heat tends to slow us down and/or move us toward just enjoying the day.

I pray you inspiration and motivation in whatever direction the Lord leads you.

I would miss you if you didn't go online much any more, but you gotta do what you gotta do!

...and I was just thinking how much I would like to get a laptop so I wouldn't be tied down to my desk.
    Rethinking.
